Our reason for the 6×9 – in reference to 10×10 facility stalls.
As a portable mat, itโs important that they are in fact, portable. At 6โ they are big enough for use with a single mat versus two, yet short enough that they will still fit in the bed of your truck, an empty stall in your trailer, tack room, pod or hay rack. Nobody wants to tote a 10 ft tall mat around.
If we reduced the 6ft width, youโd have to use two mats per stall which would increase customer spending & inconvenience when traveling with multiple horses significantly!
When you roll up a SSM mat they are about 6โ tall and 17โ wide. At 25 pounds, itโs easy to throw in several for the entire herd and ensure they rest their best during your travels. Most event facilities are not true 10×10 stalls when you take a measuring tape to them! Our 9 ft length goes wall to wall At majority of facilities without rolling up on the walls – we want these to lay flat during use.
